Can I give you a Dollar?

No Get Rich Quick

Can I give you a Dollar?
Or can I teach you how to earn your own Dollar over and over?

I would like to compare two philosophies:
The Hand Out versus the Hands Up philosophies

Firstly, lets look at the Hand Out philosophy

A man is sitting on the curb, he is looking down trodden, disheveled, beaten. He has his hand outstretched in the hope that some kind stranger will give him a coin or two. This is what he does all day, and if he is lucky, he just might get enough coins to put some food in his stomach.

But the man has spent all his energy waiting for hand outs from strangers. He has exchanged his entire day for a paltry few cents and barely has enough to sustain himself for that day.

He hasn't heard a word that anyone has spoken to him. He has been too self absorbed in his desire to get a hand out

Now the Hands Up philosophy

A man is sitting on the curb, he is looking down trodden, dishevelled, beaten. He has in his hands, a powerful tool and he listens to passers by as they flip coins in his cup. One of the passers by stopped to chat for a minute.

The man told his tragic story, full of loss, and how he ended up where he is now. The passer by, pondered for a minute, and observed that the man had not asked for anything. All the while he, had been reciting his story, was searching for a way to get ahead, to regain what he had lost. As the passer by flipped a coin into the mans cup and began to turn, the man spoke up and said, "Thank you for your generosity, I don't know if you might be interested but I have just come across a business opportunity on the net. Would you please be so kind as to have a look at it with me as see if it is something that might interest you?"

What the man had found, was an ad to a network marketing opportunity

and what caught his eye was the word entrepreneur.

The man had seen how well the passer by was dressed and thought that he was a businessman, so as the ad appeared on his screen, he thought that the passer by might just be able to give him a little advice.

The passer by looked at the screen and before long had assisted the man to sign up and then signed up as an affiliate of the man.

Despite the mans current position, he had not turned his eyes from the sky.

The man's actions resulted in a very quick result and he was now an affiliate member of a network marketing business, and better yet, he had already started to build his team, all by simply keeping his dream before him and being prepared to step outside his comfort zone by asking if a complete stranger would be willing to have a look at a business opportunity that he had just found.

The man did this same approach, time after time. Some passers by saw the opportunity and joined, others did not. As days rolled into weeks, the man kept doing this over and over and his team steadily grew. Some of the passers by that had joined, saw real opportunity and began to build their own teams.

Together, the man and his growing team learned all they could, and they applied that knowledge to the best of their abilities. The man followed the guidance of his sponsor and together they built something that only a few months earlier would have seemed impossible.

The man's team grew and grew and he rose in rank, qualifying for a debit card, and earning larger and larger amounts.
Still the man insisted on sitting on the same spot on the curb every single day and he used the same approach every single time.

But, now, as it grew dark each evening, the man would get up and walk to his newly acquired home. He would sit at his dining table and he would dine from the fruits of his labour. He would write on the business forum about his learnings. He would pass on his knowledge and wisdom to all who were interested. He would guide and coach new generations of hopefuls as they joined the business as affiliates.

And to this day, he sees that some see the business for what it is and go on to build great things, and that some don't see the business at all. He is saddened a little by those that don't see the business but until their time is right, nothing will change that. He is thrilled every time a new affiliate sees the business for what it is and begins their own team building journey as they follow the guidance of their sponsor.

The man has his front line Diamonds and the very first sign-up he ever did is still right there. That first passer by that stopped to chat and then helped him sign up, and then joined under him has long since retired from working 9-5 and now just focuses on building his team. They have become great friends.

The man now has everything that he ever desired, great friends, cupboards full of food, comfortable surroundings, and yet, every morning he puts on his old jeans and coat, gathers his bits and pieces, and goes and sits on the same spot on the curb and talks to passers by about his story.

So now you should ask yourself if your approach to your business is one of expecting a Hand Out, or is it one of putting your Hand Up.

If you can Dream it, you must Believe it, and you will Achieve it.
